LiFE:FM is Born

March 1st, 2010 was a day that will be placed in the file of days that I will never forget. As some of you know, today, LiFE:FM 90.9, a new Christian station hit the airwaves. And I believe that it was the culmination of the prayers of a city. And today was the day that God answered that prayer.

It all started at Midnight. At 12:00AM, the broadcast began by a perpetual 6 hour loop of the old “Good Morning Song“. I heard one person say, that they missed the rooster, but not that much;) And then at about 5:50AM, as we were nearing the launch hour of 6:00AM, we played the first song. And the song was the Rich Mullins classic, “Hello Old Friends” (lyrics below). As the 6:00AM hour rolled in the microphones were opened for a word of prayer; we pushed the play button on “God of this City“! What an appropriate song to launch LiFE:FM. It is a testimony that God loves this city… and there are greater things yet to come, greater things are still to be done in this city! Looking forward to all that God is going to do in this new season!
