WoW:Women of the Word meet on Tuesday, March 4th at 7:30pm. We will be covering Nehemiah Chapter 3 & 4 and Lesson 3 & 4 in our Bible study guide “Pathway to Restoration: A Journey through the Book of Nehemiah.” If you have not been able to pick up your study guide, we will have some available.

Join Women of the Word, the Ladies’ Ministry at Calvary Chapel Kendall, on May 16th to the 18th for our 2008 Ladies’ Retreat. Our retreat theme is “To everything there is a season…” based on Ecclesiastes 3:1 and we are very excited to be hosting Sandy MacIntosh as our guest speaker and Sarah MacIntosh as our guest worship leader. We hope you can join us for a wonderful time of teaching, worship, and refreshment in the Lord.

We have added a new feature to our website. As we go through our study in the book of Nehemiah we will be posting the audio files of the teachings. We have already uploaded the Introduction to Nehemiah and Nehemiah Chapter 1 teachings. Click on the “Audio Teachings” link above and you’ll be able to listen to the studies online. If, for any reason, you miss one of the lessons this is a great way to catch up.

Last night was a fantastic evening of Bible study. We were taught how to dig deep into God’s word by simply applying the Inductive Bible Study method as we studied Nehemiah Chapter 1. It was encouraging and exciting to see the ladies get involved in the teaching by answering Lisa’s question.

I hope and pray that as we continue through the book of Nehemiah we will ask ourselves the questions, who, what, when and where. That we will seek the interpretation and, most importantly, the correct Biblical application for our lives. May reading God’s word this way transform us into the women God wants us to be!

Dear Ladies,

Just a friendly reminder that we are not meeting this evening. The ladies’ Bible studies are held on the first and third Tuesday of every month. Today is the fifth Tuesday in January, so stay home and enjoy your families.

On another note, I would like to encourage you to do as much as possible with your homework. The lessons are broken up so you can take one day at time for a total of 5 days. I know at times it may seem overwhelming, but use it as a time for just you and the Lord. When we set time apart for Him to dig deep into His word, He speaks to us in beautiful personal ways.

So again, do as much as you can and don’t get frustrated. Your group leaders will walk you through any questions you have during our next meeting which will be on Tuesday, February 5th at 7:30pm. Remember we will be covering Lesson 1 in our Bible study guide “Pathway to Restoration.”

May the Lord strengthen you, give you peace, and may He cause His face to shine upon you! I look forward to seeing you next week.

We are really excited to see the work that the Lord is doing in the ladies’ ministry.

We had an amazing amount of ladies come out for our Introduction of Nehemiah on Tuesday, January 15th. If you registered and did not receive your study guide they will be available at the bookstore on Saturday and Sunday, January 25 and 26. If you have not registered for the bible study and would like to register, the cost is $10 which includes the bible study guide “Pathway to Restoration: A Journey Through the Book of Nehemiah.” Pick up your study guide and complete Lesson 1 for our next meeting on Tuesday, February 5th at 7:30pm.

Dear Ladies,

It is incredible to think that we are already in 2008. Wow! I trust you have enjoyed your Christmas season with family and friends and pray that you are well rested from your time off our Ladies’ Bible studies.

We are extremely excited about beginning our next series of studies in the book of Nehemiah. This is a an encouraging book filled with life lessons about reflection, restoration and rebuilding. It is one of those books that demonstrates God’s love, mercy and grace and gives us an extra jolt of energy and inspiration. It also reveals how God can use one ordinary person, a cup bearer, to fulfill the extraordinary task of changing a nation and bringing it back to the worship of the One and only true, living God. I pray that you come and join us as we begin our study of this remarkable time in Nehemiah’s life.

Our first meeting will be on Tuesday, January 15th at 7:30pm. You can download a registration form and a 2008 schedule by clicking on these links. The Bible study guides are available at the bookstore for the cost of $10.
